Eleanor and Winnie: BFF

Winnie was what some might call a difficult puppy. We got her before I started school so we were both working all day, meaning she was left along all day. Basset hounds (and Andys) don't like being left alone all day. We bark. We chew shoes. We get on the furniture. We occasionally poop in the house. Winnie did all of those things and more.

Since then, young Pooh has grown up quite a bit. She is completely trustworthy by herself and has become a wonderful big sister for Eleanor. This is a good thing because Eleanor loves playing with Winnie. Eleanor loves crawling into Winnie's bed with her and giving her hugs and Winnie seems to love it, or at least is tolerant. Here is a video from a few weeks ago of hugging time between Eleanor and Winnie.

For those of you with young children who are looking to add a puppy to your family, we cannot recommend a Basset hound more strongly. For those of you who wants a dog that sits with his butt completely flat against the ground when he poops, maybe you should think about this guy.

We shouldn't hold Wrigley's poop behavior against him.
He learned it from his father.

Doggie question of the day - What kind of dog do you have?
