I told you, it's not stop excitement at the Sweeney house. After Eleanor took a bath and greeted me at the front door, we decided she needed a pumpkin for Halloween. We had the opportunity to go to the Ossege's pumpkin party, featuring pumpkin carving, hayrides, and games, but my school work crapped all over that idea. Instead, we made a brief trip to Irons Fruit Farm. They had good pumpkins and great donuts, but the environment wasn't quite the same. You'll see why as you get through the pictures.
Shortly after the last photograph was taken, one of the farm workers made use of the port-o-let. Good times. After we picked out pumpkins, it was time for Uncle Eric's wedding. This was actually a week of festivities, with Ania's family flying in from Poland and staying with Grandma and Grandpa Thorpe, plus Aunt Molly and her friend Junior coming in from California. Let's see how everything went down:
Michael Scott: Be careful. Oh no!!! [Eric and Ania smear cake on each other's face] Oh wow! Ania! Ania! You look like a clown! Here. Get me! Get me! [Michael smears cake on his own face]
I'm not sure what you do the day after a wedding in Poland, but in America we go to Montgomery Inn. Little known fact: people from Poland love ribs. And Saratoga chips. And everything else we put in front of them.
Eleanor: Just ignore him. He will eventually stop.
Edward: Where are his pants?
Wow, that was an exciting wedding. We hardly had any time to rest, because soon it was time for Halloween. Eleanor's first choice for a costume was Yoda, with Daddy dressing up as Darth Vader. That idea was pooh-poohed on, so we went with a second option, the always exciting...Pumpkin!!!
So that is a rundown of our month since Eleanor's glorious birthday celebration. I have left out details of the groundbreaking new study that was recently proposed, Examining the Relationship Between Foster Parent Personality and Ratings of Effective Therapeutic Foster Parenting, because it's as boring as all anything. That's pretty boring.
Trite question of the day - Don't you just love fall?
