So, yeah, it's been a long time. Apparently we aren't good at keeping up with two kids while updating the world on it all. We've been having a good start to the year 2011. Maura is hilarious. Eleanor is a melodramatic 3 1/2 year old, which we hear comes with the territory. When she's not crying, she's adorable. Maura tries her hardest to keep up with Eleanor, and she's catching on quickly.
I think this is a record for the number of pictures in one post. Take your time. Maybe stop every so often to save some for the next few days...because it will probably be awhile, considering our behavior as of late. Enjoy. The captions speak for themselves...we think.
The cutest little girls taking a bath EVER!
Prepare to meet your match. The Sweeney Sisters are ready to dominate (and coordinate their outfits while doing so)!
"Workin' on my fitness" before swim lessons.
Eleanor is ready for church in her church clothes.
Maura looking cute. I was trying to catch her giving one of her really mean Thorpe scowls, but we missed. She just looks confused instead.
Andy has trained Winnie to become a therapy dog (close your mouth in shock of this new apprentice-ship). She is always voted most popular no matter where she "works".
When hugging your younger sister, do try to squeeze a little too tightly to let her know who's in charge.
When wearing zebra prints, always sport a cool purse (or fanny-pack) to highlight the colors.
Light sabers are good for snack time, as well as fighting Darth Vader.
Playing hair-dresser. Maura doesn't want to be left out.
Does your hair-dresser wear socks as mittens too?
War wound #1: Face-plant at the babysitter. This looked awesome for a good week. Seriously, I'm not prepared for which body part(s) she will eventually break one day.
Our burrito baby - Eleanor.
Maura and her pretty teeth.
Eating pancakes at Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
One of the few things at Breakfast with the Easter Bunny event that didn't scare Eleanor - balloon animals and lollipops!
I couldn't fit both in the picture, but I almost pooped my pants from the cuteness created by my daughter Maura oohhing and aahhing over baby chicks.
On your marks. Get set. Go...Maura kicked butt at the Easter egg hunt, which is more than we can say for Eleanor. She was too scared of the eggs to move.
"Is that all we have so far? Sheesh, I need to pick up my pace."
"Stop holdin' me back, Dad. Lemme at 'em!"
Spring Task #1 complete: Swingset
Thanks, Papa, for helping Daddy finish my swings.
She literally asked every day until it was complete.
War wound #2: Look carefully at her left ear. Somehow she almost chopped off her ear one afternoon. I have no idea how, but it bled for a few days straight. Awesome.
What a dapper looking group. We are only missing one more super-cute little girl.
Thanks, Amanda. Our babysitter for the weekend in Des Moines was a huge help!
The beautiful wedding party. No tears at this moment, at least.
Best crying flower girl ever. *She cried the whole way down the aisle: "No, Daddy, no!" Luckily the guests thought it was cute (or that's what they told us, at least).
Reunion with Maura after a weekend away - we missed that gorgeous smile.
Maura's reaction to her basket: "oooohhhhh!"
Cutest one-eyed pirate ever.
So, Mimi Sweeney got the girls stuffed animals who sing "Yes, Jesus loves Me", and they decided that was their jam. Here they are shake'n it.
Maura is absolutely ecstatic over these babies' music.
Great Mimi (Evelyn Mae) is cracking up Maura Evelyn over Easter bunny jokes.
Because we don't get enough pictures of Maura...
Attending the top half of the first and only inning Eleanor has ever been to. A whooping cough-like sickness overcame Eleanor to the point that everyone around them was staring.
Maybe next time will be better.

We never face Snack Time without our trusty light saber either. Why chance it?
