Family, Friends, and Bandwagon Fans

We've been busy over the last month or so, traveling to Cincinnati to see family in town and also having visitors like the awesomely cool Vores come stay with us. And as the title of this post reveals, we have also been busy becoming bandwagon fans...of the Browns you must be questioning in disgust!!!??? Absolutely not!!! The Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, you betcha. And we even had opposition in town to test out our ability to root "our" team on to a victory. Scan down to see.

First off, a trip to Mimi and Papa Thorpe's isn't complete without a tractor ride with Papa. Literally, every time we pull up and walk into the garage, Ellie darts for the tractor. Guess who will be mowing the lawn when we have a lawn to take care of again...Winnie.

The major reason we went to Cincinnati lately is to see the elusive Aunt Molly. We've got to catch her when we can. Eleanor is proud of her Molly sighting here.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of Erin and Ben Vore staying with us. So, to make sure their trip was complete - we went to our usual spot - Lakewood Park. It was a beautiful day, so you can actually see all 3 buildings!

Ellie and Ben had a push up contest, and clearly Ellie is beating Ben to a pulp. Ben:
"I can't go on..." Ellie: "You must be a Utah Jazz fan because you can't keep up, sucka!"

Ellie and Ben made up after the match, though, and decided to share some bouncy horse time together, along with Daddy. Ellie: "You two are decent, I guess. At least you're not embarrassing me...at the moment."

Finally, the culmination of the weekend was the Cavs vs. Jazz game. We had never been to an NBA game before, so Ben was showing us the ropes. For highlights of the game, see Voreblog. What kind of seats did you have, you might be asking? Well, that concrete wall behind Ben and Andy will tell you we had the best seats in the house - we could see EVERYTHING - and we got free nose bleeds!

The cuter fans (who were somehow left out on the Voreblog recap???).

The only Utah Jazz fan in the "Q". That's what we real fans call the Cavs' arena. Someone really did comment that Ben must be Mormon because he was a fan. "No, no, he's not."

Because we had such amazing seats, we decided to let the crowd clear out after the game. As we started taking pictures of Andy and Ben, serendipitously the flames came on. As you can see, it doesn't even phase them...or the 5 other pictures they made us take of them while the flames were going off.

I don't have anything good for this picture. I just wanted to put an extra picture of Erin and me because Ben and Andy show up so much on the Voreblog post. Things you can notice - I have a big tummy; I'm 36 weeks in this picture; Erin has a nice scarf on; we were really high up. *Side note: the Coldstone ice cream Erin and I shared at the game was amazing. I highly recommend it if you decide to partake in a Cavs game at the "Q".

Go Cavs!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sweeney residence so much that we will refrain from making a stink about how those push-up contest pictures were clearly doctored.

Also about how rude Eleanor is to smelly guests.

Was one of these photos taken by a professional? It's amazing!
