So, we're back. It has been quite a busy few months here and while we have quite a few pictures to share, we don't have as many as we normally would. Taking pictures has been difficult lately for two reasons:
1. We have been very busy showing our house and preparing to move this summer.
2. Emily broke her collar bone a few weeks ago playing soccer.
Neither of these things have been good times. Fortunately, Emily's arm has been healing surprisingly well and she has regained a fair amount of use. The first couple days when she couldn't pick up Eleanor were hard on everyone, but we are doing much better now. There has also been a fair amount of interest in the house and we hope to have that issue resolved soon. Having said that, the past month has been pretty stressful.
On to the pictures. A while back I had a little reunion of sorts with my former colleagues from Children's Hospital. It was delightful to see everyone and catch up with old friends, as well as meet some new ones. One of the new people I met was Noah, son of my friends Angela and Adam. Noah and I didn't stay friends long. Let's find out why:
These next three pictures are from a day a while back when Emily and I decided to record the day in picture diary form. This didn't last past lunch.
Eleanor always makes friends with the servers there.
Mike, Eleanor, and I are boozing in the other room.
Unfortunately we have to completely skip over our Thorpe family reunion in Chicago because we didn't take any pictures. When you have a baby and a wife with a broken collar bone and you're spending the day walking around Chicago, you have to pack light. We hope to steal some pictures from Grandma and Grandpa Thorpe and share them with you soon.
Let's move on to Easter weekend. On Saturday morning we went to the Montgomery Easter Egg Hung. What a debacle. The kids in Eleanor's age group were vicious, running through the course and taking as many eggs as they could with their parents encouraging them the whole time. Eleanor collected a grand total of two eggs. Next year will be different.

Delicious question of the day - What is your favorite menu item at the Tap House Sports Grill in Steamboat Springs, Colorado?
